DescriptionDraft of William BUCKLAND's paper 'Geology. Instructions to Travellers for conducting Geological Investigations, and collecting specimens", sent to George Bellas Greenough, 12 May 1825, asking if there should be any changes before he has it printed. The printed sheet has corrections and comments by Greenough, but there is also two loose pages of mss notes by Greenough entitled 'Rules of conducting geological investigations'. A third, scrappy sheet may not relate to these items.
Administrative HistoryThe paper was originally submitted to the 'American Journal of Science', in 1821.
