Re: short note written on the back of a letter from William Thomas Horner Fox Strangways, drawing his attention to the prospectus of Count Byland. The letter from Strangways to Buckland, dated 9 March, comments that Brocchi did not leave a geological map of Italy, but jokes he did leave an 'ode to his faithful donkey'; describes the activities of Count Byland.
