Re: Sends letters from Picquet & Goujon [not included] on the subject of exchanging maps; lists second hand maps of Prussia which can be had; Von Buch in Paris; expecting the first volume of the new series of the Transactions to be sent, thinks the second volume should have been ready to publish.
Administrative HistoryThe exchange of maps relates to the Committee for the Purchase of Maps, which was established to inquire whether the leading publishers of maps on the continent would be willing to supply the Society in exchange for a number of copies of Greenough's ‘Geological Map of England & Wales' (1820).
