| Description | Two volumes entitled 'Europe Provinces, E-L' and 'Europe Provinces T-Z’, containing ink and pencil manuscript notes on the geology and bibliographic resources of British and European regions, collated by George Bellas GREENOUGH, [1840s]. Most entries are blank, but some areas, such as Italy, have extensive notes. The maps cited are frequently from Greenough's own collection, and therefore reference his own cataloguing number.
Volume 'E-L' contains loose notes and scraps, including a hand coloured mss map around the village of Clifton, Halifax, in Greenough's hand showing the geology in 1818. |
