Administrative HistoryThe majority of the bibliographic references derive from publications of the 1820s to 1830s, the latest seems to be Leopold von Buch's paper 'Die Baren-Inseln...' [Bear Island] submitted to the Royal Academy of Sciences, Berlin, 1846.
