DescriptionSparse and faint geological colouring on three of the sheets, single pencil annotation over Irish Sea "Bed of sea has sunk", by George Bellas Greenough, [c.1830], on base map 'Carte des Routes de Postes de l'Empire Francais, du Royaume d'Italie et de la Confederation du Rhin', engraved by P A F Tardieu, published by Conseil de l'Admn des Postes et des Relais, 1814. There is no key, but the broad geological areas seem to denote Chalk, Oolite and Quartz Rock. Greenough no.36. Scale-1:2,250,000, each sheet is 62cm x 83cm.
