DescriptionGeological colouring and notes (including lists of languages) by George Bellas GREENOUGH, [?1830s-1849] on base map 'Outlines of the physical and political divisions of South America...' engraved by Edward Jones, published by Aaron Arrowsmith, 1811. Greenough indicates that the some of the colouring is after Alcide d'Orbigny but multiple sources are cited.

Scale-1:900,000, each sheet 83cm x 102cm. Dissected on cloth. Greenough no.1121.
Administrative HistoryThere are three references to publications from 1849, but the simplistic lithological key on the title page, along with the different ink and pencil notes, indicates that the sheets were reworked over a number of years.
