Administrative HistoryThe paper is written in response to Professor John Kidd's (1775-1851) work 'A Geological Essay on the Imperfect Evidence in Support of a Theory of the Earth' (1815) and enlarges upon Kidd's theories. Kidd's original essay was dedicated to George Bellas Greenough, hence the dedication of Richardson's response.
