4) Printed meterological table for St John's, Newfoundland, [Canada] by Joseph Templeman of the Colonial Secretary's Office, Newfoundland, entitled, 'Table shewing the mean temperature, as also the mean height of the Barometer in each month in 3 1/2 years, ending June 1837 - with the extremes of each, and the days on which such extremes occurred', [1837].
5) Mss booklet, 'Hudson's Bay. Journal of weather at Nelson's Encampment [Seal Islands], near York Fort for the winter of 1811-1812', made by Abel Edwards, surgeon to the settlement, [?1811-1812]. | Administrative History | In the 19th century, the Library collection covered much wider subjects than it does now. Meteorology was one topic which was collected, however most of the non-geological material began to be disposed of from the 1930s. These items are rare survivors of the cull. |
