Administrative HistoryCommittee was officially formed in May 1973, out of the previous Fund Raising Committee, on the initiative of Donald Duff, Wallace Pitcher and Alec Smith. It was intended that the Committee would support the work of officers and Council by acting as a think tank and by carrying out certain projects at the request of the officers or Council. The Committee would promote the Society by devising and organising schemes which would include: obtaining additional income for the Society; attracting new Fellows; promoting and developing scientific activities; production of publications and publicity to enhance the image of the Society.
