| Description | Secretary's In Letters: from William John HAMILTON, Belgrave Square, London, ?2 Jan 1857. Re: Learnt with regret that Adam Sedgwick took offence to his remarks on Sedgwick's paper on the May Hill Sandstone as it seemed to convey an imputation on his moral character. Points out that he meant to say that Sedgwick attacked the Society in strong language but did not go through the normal route of withdrawing the paper before submitting it elsewhere. |
