DescriptionMuseum Letters & Lists: from Etheldred BENETT, Norton House, 18 Oct 1839. Re: sends some of the tiling from the wreck of her local church, taken down the previous year, which was reputed to be over 600 years old, and due to its curious nature Dr [William] Buckland thought would be worth giving to the Society; frequent bouts of ill health have prevented her from addressing the Society's desiderata, but promises to send more crinoids from Whatley [near Frome, Somerset] and wonders if the Museum needs more specimens from Hordle Cliffs [Hampshire] or from coal; cannot promise that it will come to anything as she has had material set aside for Charles Stokes and Konig from the British Museum for a number of years but hasn't yet packaged them up for sending.
