DescriptionMuseum Letters & Lists: Letter from William W Cole, Earl of ENNISKILLEN, Oulton Park, to William Lonsdale, notifying him that he plans to forward a box of specimens of fossil fish from Lethen Bar from Lady Cumming [Eliza Maria Gordon-Cumming] as he is anxious that they arrive in time for Louis Agassiz's attendance at a forthcoming meeting, 10 Nov [?1840].
Administrative HistoryLady Gordon-Cumming donated fossil fish specimens from her Lethen Bar Quarry to the Earl of Enniskillen in the summer of 1840. He gave some to his close friend Philip de Malpas Egerton, and a small selection were given to the Society.
