Administrative HistoryThe British material from the Society's old Museum is now held by the British Geological Survey. Selected specimens donated by Etheldred Benett were borrowed for an exhibition which ran between March-June 2016. The larger, more interesting items were photographed before being returned.

The original Museum accession number where extant is listed first in the descriptions. These were then cross references with the Museum register GSL/MUS/5/1/2 to give donation dates.
