DescriptionWooden block in the shape of a book, used as a book end/stop on the Library's shelves, 19th century.
Administrative HistoryThe item, which is much worn, is the last surviving example. The 'spine' of the block is rounded with five 'cord' grooves which mimic a leather binding.
