Writes in Italian (p3). Describes geology, landscape and sightseeing in south east France, including Montélimar, Privas, Aubenas, Thueyts, Pradelles, Le Puy (p4-11, in French).
Arrives in Clermont-Ferrand 13th May 1828 and describes landscape, geology, towns, and people in Auvergne region (p13-20), especially in the Chaîne des Puys area of extinct volcanic landforms. Visits places and mountains including Royat, the Petit Puy de Dome, Veyre, Lac d'Aydat, Mt. [Grion], Le Mont-Dor, Puy de Sancy, Bort-les-Orgues (p18), and Aurillac (p18-19), and mentions scientific acquaintences (p16) such as the [Comte] de [Luigar], Lecoq, Bupet and Bouillet. From 2nd July travels southwards into the Rhône-Alpes region (p20-22), including Thueyts, Aubenas, and Montélimar. At the end of August travels into Italy (p22-26), passing through such places as Savona, Turin, Vercelli, Milan, Brescia, Verona, Vicenza, Padua, Venice, Bassano del Grappa (p24-25), and Sterzing (Vipiteno); then Austria (p26-27), visiting Innsbruck, Seefeld, Lermoos, and Bregenz, before reaching Lake Constance around 9th October. From there she describes travels through Switzerland (p27-28), including Stein am Rhein, Schaffhausen, and Basel; briefly passes through Germany (p28); then back into France (p28), reaching Strasbourg on 16th October 1828.
