| Administrative History | The first edition has an engraved publication date of November 1819, however the Map was not issued until May 1820.
Issue no.10 was produced specifically for the Society, no.84 was originally intended for Dr Wollaston but it was considered 'imperfect' and instead retained. In the minutes of the Map Committee (GSL/COM/MA/1) before the second edition was formally issued, in December it was ordered that an archive copy of the first edition should be produced. This map is not extant. |
